According to Al Jazeera Buhari’s government decree ordered to telecoms operators in Nigeria to restrict access to Twitter, a day after the government announced its indefinite suspension accusing the social network of activities “capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence”.

The suspension in Africa’s most populous country came two days after the social media giant deleted a tweet from President Muhammadu Buhari’s account for violating its rules. According to the deletion, Twitter’s ban seems much more a personal president Buhari’s vendetta then a measure to protect Nigeria’s stability.
