After the brutal attack of soldiers and killings of protesters at the Lekki gate, an upmarket area of Lagos, as witnesses state, military authorities denied thei involvement in the attack but according to Amnesty International, at least 12 people were killed in Lekki and Alausa, another area of Lagos, by soldiers and police.

After that, as our contact in Nigeria told us, police tried to rescue the senior brother of Lagos State Governor base on the “he must know something” about the shooting. Now seems to be the right time for investigation and persecution of all reported cases of police misconduct based on the need of Nigerians for justice and freedom and no more crimes against innocent citizens.

The country needs sweep reform and a new concept of humanity and citizenship.
