Bangladesh’s Governement suspended on Thursday 15th the first planned phase of repatriation of Rohingya refugees from Myanmar, officials said, because of a lack of volunteers. Officials said. Myanmar’s Rohingyas (terrorized to be deported back to Myanmar) refugees in Bangladesh are hundreds of thousands escaped in some way from a military crazy crackdown in 2017.
The repatriation was due to begin on Thursday, according to an agreement signed between Bangladesh and Myanmar on Nov. 23, 2017, but “no one came” as Bangladesh’s relief and repatriation commissioner, Abul Kalam, told to local and international medias.
Over 723,000 members of the mostly Muslim minority fled to Bangladesh escaping a military crackdown in Myanmar’s Rakhine state in Aug. 2017.
